This unit has 15 x 1TB 7.2K SATA hard drives installed.
Expansion Module:
Two expansion modules can be added each holding up to fifteen (15) 3.5-inch SAS or SATA hot-pluggable hard drives, at speeds of 5.4K, 7.2K, 10K or 15K.

SAS Drives
15,000 RPM SAS drives available in 73GB, 146GB, 300GB, 450GB and 600GB.
10,000 RPM SAS drives available in 300GB, 400GB or 600GB.
Nearline SAS (7,200 RPM) drives available in 500GB, 750GB or 1TB.
SATA Drives
7,200 RPM SATA II drives available in 250GB, 500GB, 750GB or 1TB.
Energy efficient SATA II (5,400 RPM) drives available in 1TB and 2TB.
Maximum Capacity (per enclosure)
30TB using fifteen 2TB SATA disk drives.
Expansion Capabilities
PERC RAID Controller enables expansion to 6 enclosures.
PowerVault MD3000 and MD3000i enable expansion to 3 enclosures.
Connectivity
Support for either of the following configurations:
Unified Mode (Single Path): For daisy chaining of up to 6 enclosures per PERC 6/E controller (3 enclosures per port, single path.)
Unified Mode (Redundant Path): For daisy chaining of up to 3 enclosures per PERC 6/E controller (3 enclosures connected to both ports via redundant path cabling.)
Split mode with dual Enclosure Management Modules providing direct connectivity to drive 0 through 6 and a separate connectivity to drives 7 through 14.
Management
Enclosure Management Modules (EMM):
Takes 1 or 2 modules. 2 Modules Installed.
A second EMM provides redundant enclosure management capabilities. Second EMM is installed.
Serial Connector (per EMM):
One (1) 6-Pin UART mini-DIN connector.
